Polyurethane Pneumatic Tubing

Tubing that cracks or corrodes will lead to increased costs down the road. Freelin-Wade’s polyurethane pneumatic tubing resists kinks, chemicals, and abrasion. This highly flexible tubing exhibits excellent memory for coiled tubing applications. Our polyurethane tubing is available in four durometers, making it suitable for pneumatic applications that use push-to-connect fittings or barbs.

Other Flexible Pneumatic Tubing

Freelin-Wade specializes in extruding small diameter (≤1” OD) flexible plastic tubing for pneumatic applications. Though polyurethane tubing is our most popular material option, we can extrude flexible pneumatic tubing from a variety of resins to meet your flexibility requirements.

Our Most Flexible Tubing

Although we consider all of our plastic tubes to be flexible (far more flexible than pipe), flexibility can be subjective. Polyurethane and PVC are the most flexible plastic tubing we produce.

We offer polyurethane tubing in four different durometers (hardnesses), each exhibiting different characteristics. In general, polyurethane tube has excellent memory, and is a great choice for coiled or self-storing hose assemblies; it is also highly abuse resistant and can withstand higher pressures than PVC.

For our non-braided PVC flexible tubing, Freelin-Wade uses only non-Phthalate PVC resins, as there are numerous concerns about the safety of Phthalates as plasticizers.


Harder Plastic Tubing Resins

Our nylon tubingpolyethylene tubingFEP tubing, and Kynar® tubing are all made from harder plastic resins. Tubing made from these materials will be less flexible, but are often superior to piping. With the exception of polyethylene, all of these resins exhibit good memory and can be made into self-storing hoses.

Tubing for High Pressures & High Heat Applications

Nylon tubing is recognized as the industry standard for pneumatic tubing applications which require higher pressure and good heat and chemical resistance.

Tubing for Purity Applications

FEP and Kynar® are ideal for high purity applications or those where excellent chemical resistance is needed. FEP also offers excellent heat resistance, up to 400°F (204°C). Polyethylene tubing is an economical option that is often used in liquid transfer because of its FDA compliance
